“Lumi” means light, and “Vida” means life.
We create items that bring light to the lives of children —and also to the lives of those who choose them.
Our hope is that every life can shine brightly.
少数派民族達が多く住むタイ北部では
現在でも人身売買が行われています。
「こどもを３万円で買わないか？」
と声をかけられた方にもお会いしました。
『売春宿に隔離されて、
逃げられた時にはエイズ感染していた女の子』
も報道されています。
出稼ぎと騙されて
人身売買されるケースが多いので、
こどもの出稼ぎ自体を止める必要があります。
In Northern Thailand, where many ethnic minority groups live, human trafficking still continues today.
We’ve even met someone who was asked,
“Would you like to buy a child for 30,000 yen?”
There have also been reports of girls who were confined in brothels and,
after escaping, found to be infected with HIV.
Many cases involve children being deceived under the pretense of work opportunities and then trafficked.
To prevent this, we believe it’s essential to stop child labor migration itself.

さまざまな調査を行い、
出稼ぎをせずに暮らせる金額を算出しました。
1家庭につき毎月3万円の
仕事を創出を目指しています。
At Lumivida, we are working to prevent the trafficking of children from Thailand’s ethnic minority communities.
We’ve conducted research on living expenses, cost of living, and other factors to calculate
how much income is needed for families to live without sending their children away for work.
Our goal is to create jobs that provide 30,000 yen per month for each household.
Lumividaでは民族達から直接
伝統刺繍を買い取っています。
それに加えて
彼女達本人が撮影する日常の写真も
一枚一枚買取ることで
仕事を創出しています。
また周りの縫製などの一部も
スラム縫製場などに依頼をしています。
At Lumivida, we purchase traditional embroidery directly from ethnic artisans.
In addition, we also buy candid photos of their daily lives, taken by the artisans themselves,
as another way to create income for them.
Some of the sewing and finishing work is also commissioned to sewing facilities in underprivileged areas,
such as urban slums.
